In Xindian, New Taipei City, gunshots were heard on June 26, 2024, when a man seeking revenge fired multiple shots at a hostel on Zhongxing Road. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the man later surrendered to the police. The motive behind the incident is still under investigation. The location was reported to be a hostel.
