Cheng Wen-tsan, the current chairperson of the Straits Exchange Foundation and former mayor of Taoyuan, was interrogated by the Taoyuan District Prosecutors' Office for suspected involvement in a land change case during his mayoral tenure. Reports from Mirror Media indicate that he was remanded in custody and is scheduled for a court hearing around 11 a.m. this morning. Further details are yet to be disclosed post the remand hearing.
