On the morning of June 28, 2024, at 5:47 AM, central Taiwan experienced intense convection in the afternoon, prompting the Central Weather Bureau to issue immediate thunderstorm alerts for Miaoli County, Taichung City, and Nantou County at 5:23 PM on the same day. The heavy rain is expected to continue until 6:30 PM. Additionally, Taichung City issued a mountainous heavy rain disaster prevention warning from the Xianu Waterfall at the Head Biankeng Creek to the Yijiang Bridge. The thunderstorm warning is estimated to last for another hour.
