Central Weather Bureau issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Taipei and New Taipei City at 14:40 on June 21st, extending to New Taipei's Xindian, Wulai, and Shiding regions. The alert, lasting until 15:45, cautioned against flooding and low visibility in low-lying areas, with particular emphasis on Xindian and Wulai to guard against heavy rain, lightning strikes, flash floods, collapses, avalanches, and landslides. Additionally, a disaster prevention alert for the Shiding area near Shiding Dalan Suspension Bridge was issued until 16:40, warning of possible heavy rain and urging caution against rising creek waters to ensure safety. Stay away from river areas and avoid activities like upstream exploration, fishing, or playing in the water.
