Due to the influence of southwest winds causing hot weather, Taitung County experienced burning winds and even surpassed the year's highest temperature at 40 degrees Celsius. The Central Weather Bureau issued high-temperature information for 11 counties and cities on the afternoon of June 15, affecting the daytime temperatures. Taitung County was issued an orange warning, with a probability of extreme high temperatures at 38 degrees Celsius, while Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Hualien County received yellow warnings. Residents are advised to stay alert to the heat.
