On the morning of July 6, 2024, a fire broke out at Jingguo Elementary School in Yingge District, New Taipei City during the summer vacation. The fire originated in a classroom on the 4th floor with a burning area of 5 square meters. The New Taipei City Fire Department arrived at the scene promptly, and no casualties were reported.
