On June 25, 2024, at 4:32 AM, Central Weather Bureau issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Taoyuan County. In the afternoon at 3:40 PM, the Water Resources Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs issued flood warnings for four administrative districts in Taoyuan City and New Taipei City, with Bade District in Taoyuan reaching a rainfall of 58.5 mm causing significant flooding and escalating to a level 1 warning, while Daxi District in Taoyuan and Xindian District and Yingge District in New Taipei were on level 2 flood watch.
