On July 3, 2024, at 6:13 a.m., a female corpse was discovered floating in the Qinglong shoreline area of the Wintery River in Yilan, with the body swollen and difficult to identify. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving reports from citizens. The deceased, estimated to be in her 50s, had no identification with her, and the exact cause of drowning is still under investigation by the authorities. The detailed identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed.
