The Food and Drug Administration announced on July 2 that four batches of 'chili powder' imported from South Korea were found to contain pesticide residues, totaling 8616 kilograms, leading to mandatory return or destruction. The FDA imposed a temporary halt on inspection applications for chili powder imports from three South Korean manufacturers with recent non-compliance records.
