Around 12:06 PM today, Tainan experienced an unexpected power outage affecting a large residential area with around 1290 households due to a fuse seat malfunction in a switchbox. Taipower immediately dispatched staff for repairs and restored power by 1:03 PM. Similar incidents of power outages have occurred in other regions recently, with causes ranging from accidents to increased electrical usage during holidays and even squirrel-related incidents.
