On June 26, 2024, at 2:36 AM, a police officer surnamed Li (50 years old) from Taipei's DaTong Police Station's security team is suspected of having improper contact with unlawful entities in the area, involving issues of leaking information. After receiving a tip-off, the City Police Bureau proactively conducted self-inspections and reported to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for investigation. This morning around 9 AM, prosecutors directed searches involving the Police Supervisory Office, the City Police Bureau's Supervisory Office, Criminal Investigation Division, and the branch's inspection team. A police officer from DaTong Police Station was called in for questioning by the inspection office. The DaTong Police Station stated that the details of the officer's involvement are still being clarified, and they will continue to cooperate with the prosecutor's investigation, emphasizing that any violations by police officers are actively investigated and strictly dealt with according to the law, demonstrating their determination to purify the team and maintain the honor of the police force.
