On June 19, 2024, at 3:54 am, according to CTV News, due to an underground cable fault, a total of 883 households in the Banqiao area of New Taipei City, including sections of Wenhua Road, Shuangshi Road, and Songbai Street, experienced a power outage. Taiwan Power Company promptly dispatched personnel for repairs and restored power to 843 households by 1:35 pm, with the remaining 40 households still undergoing repairs. The incident also affected Jiangzicui Station.
