Due to strong afternoon convective cloud activity, heavy rain in the Taoyuan area resulted in 2942 households experiencing power outages, sparking local residents' dissatisfaction. Taiwan Power Company's Taoyuan District promptly responded in the afternoon of June 29th, 2024, indicating that a high-voltage line failure caused the power outage. Despite the inconvenience caused, 1973 households have already been restored with the remaining 969 households expected to regain power soon. The incident, triggered by the weather conditions, led to sparks but no actual explosion.台電補充說明因線路平時於環境有鹽塵影響遇大雨時較易因而產生故障並引起火花實際無爆炸情況。
