According to CTi News, on June 17, 2024, at 8:13 pm, a fire broke out in a foam factory on 99th Lane of Hengxi Road in Sanxia District, New Taipei City. The New Taipei City Fire Department dispatched 50 fire trucks and 121 firefighters to extinguish the fire, which consumed a 2-story tin house, with no casualties reported. By 9 pm, the fire was under control, covering an area of about 1000 square meters. Due to potential harmful toxins, the fire department urgently advised nearby residents to keep doors and windows closed and wear masks if going outside. The cause of the fire will be investigated by the fire department.
