Central Weather Bureau issued a special alert for heavy rain in two cities, Taichung and Nantou, due to vigorous development of convective cloud systems, with a high chance of localized heavy rain in mountainous areas. Residents are advised to be cautious of thunder strikes, strong gusts, potential landslides, rockfalls, and reduced visibility, and stay indoors away from elevated or open areas. In addition, an immediate thunderstorm warning for specific districts in Taichung and Nantou is in effect until 4:15 PM. Drivers are advised to slow down and stay safe on the roads.
