British Landlord Shocked to Discover His Rental Property Turned into Cannabis Factory and Filled with 10 Tons of Soil

Reported 8 months ago

A cannabis factory hidden inside a residence was discovered on June 23, 2024, and this global phenomenon was found in a residential property in Yunlin County, Taiwan. In London, a homeowner left his property with an agent to rent out while he worked in the United States. Upon returning, he found the entire house transformed into a cannabis factory, severely damaged, with his upstairs bedroom filled with three feet deep and 10-ton heavy soil. The victim, Lewis, showcased the extensive damage caused by the operation, which involved over 400 cannabis pots and dangerous electrical adaptations. The authorities estimated damages to be at least £200,000 (about 8.2 million NTD), which Lewis has to cover. Cases of cannabis factories being established in rented properties in the UK have been on the rise, with criminals exploiting legal loopholes and deceiving landlords with severe consequences.
