Reported 8 months ago

A 34-year-old man in the UK overdosed on painkillers by consuming 1176 ibuprofen pills within a month, resulting in vomiting blood, ulcers, and kidney failure. The man, a keen runner, began self-medicating to alleviate muscle and joint pain without seeking medical help. His condition deteriorated until he sought emergency treatment, where doctors discovered bleeding ulcers in his esophagus and stomach, as well as kidney failure. After undergoing dialysis and cauterization surgery, he has since fully recovered.
