A new startup in the UK has developed a distillation technology aiming to provide safe, clean drinking water to reduce people's reliance on plastic bottled water. Concerns over water quality have led to many opting for bottled water, with a global sale of 1 million plastic bottles per minute. This new distillation method creates pollution-free distilled water without the need for continuous heating systems through the use of specialized pumps and steam compression. The technology has been implemented in a Scottish hotel to produce 250 liters of water daily, demonstrating potential to reduce plastic bottle consumption globally and improve drinking water quality.
