During a recent court trial in the UK, the case of a 50-year-old woman named Glenna Siviter being robbed, murdered, and hidden under sofa cushions in her own home by a friend, Andrew Hall, has captured societal attention. Her son found her body four days later, leading to Hall's arrest for murder, attempted murder, and serious harm, all of which he denies. The incident, which occurred in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, in December 2023, involved Siviter being brutally attacked with 36 knife wounds to her neck, heart, and lungs by Hall, who was in a drug-addled state during the crime. Hall also attacked two other friends, stole items from the house, and is currently undergoing trial. Reminder messages on violence prevention and support hotlines are provided.
