Broadway's 2023-2024 season box office hit $1.5 billion, with attendance holding steady compared to the previous year but still lagging by nearly 17% from pre-pandemic levels, according to figures released by the Broadway League. The season featured 71 productions that collectively grossed $1.54 billion, with about 12.3 million in attendance. While the numbers are similar to post-pandemic levels, Broadway has not fully recovered from the Covid shutdown, as evidenced by the record-setting pre-Covid season of 2018-2019.
