CTV News website reported on June 21, 2024, that the Taiwanese national team achieved their best performance in history at the previous Tokyo Olympics with 12 medals (2 gold, 4 silver, 6 bronze), including weightlifting goddess Kuo Hsing-Chun winning the gold in the women's 59kg category. This year at the Paris Olympics, Kuo Hsing-Chun, Chen Wen-Hui, and Fang Wan-Ling will team up, with head coach Lin Ching-Neng boldly stating, 'Bronze and silver medals cannot satisfy us this time.' Despite Kuo Hsing-Chun's injury concerns, Lin Ching-Neng revealed her recovery progress and the addition of a new coach to enhance her training for potential performance breakthroughs in Paris.
