Brooke Shields has been elected as the new president of the Actors’ Equity Association, representing 51,000 actors and stage managers. Shields, known for her Broadway credits and film career, aims to use her star power to elevate the profile of Equity members and advocate for the respect they deserve. Her four-year term begins immediately, succeeding Kate Shindle, who decided to step down after serving as president since 2015.
