On June 28, 2024, during the CPBL mid-season draft, the Taiwan Steel Eagles selected infielder Song Bai-han from the Guobao High School in the third round. It's noteworthy that Song Bai-han's brother is the Rakuten Monkeys' catcher Song Jia-xiang, who is in a relationship with the Taiwan Steel Eagles' cheerleader. Standing at 190 cm tall, Song Bai-han plays first base and was a cleanup hitter in high school. This selection adds an interesting twist as Song Bai-han now becomes a teammate of his brother's team.
