Buffet's Favorite Steakhouse Accidentally Charges Customer $24 Million

Reported about 1 year ago

A woman and her friends dined at a high-end steakhouse in Taichung, known as Warren Buffett's favorite, spending around $12,000, but ended up being charged over $24 million due to a possible POS system glitch. The huge amount not only led to the bank calling to check, but also shocked the woman as the bill for one meal equaled the price of a house. The restaurant apologized, explaining that the credit card couldn't handle such a high amount. The incident occurred at the second Asian branch of the steakhouse, where meals average $2000 to $3000 per person, making it unaffordable for most.
