Gu mentioned a dual strategy of both procurement and indigenous development, with continuous communication with the US Indo-Pacific Command for experience sharing. The purchase of US-made drones raises questions, but Gu explained the necessity of diversifying procurement sources while ensuring Taiwan's defense production capacity. The emphasis on asymmetric defense through unmanned systems and the need for greater drone variety were also highlighted during the session.
