Busting Money Laundering Operations in Illegal Gambling Websites with Help of Taiwan's Only Electronic Detection Dog 'Crystal'

Reported about 1 year ago

In Vietnam, an illegal gambling website was running a money laundering operation in Taiwan handling up to 5.1 billion NTD in just six months. To eradicate them, the Kaohsiung City Criminal Investigation Bureau not only launched a coordinated attack on the locations but also brought in Taiwan's only electronic detection dog named 'Crystal'. Within minutes, Crystal found two mobile phones that the police had missed. The operation resulted in the uncovering of three local hubs, with a special focus on electronic devices, totaling a laundering amount of 5.1 billion NTD. 'Crystal' has special training in the US and specializes in detecting a unique coating on electronic products, successfully contributing to this bust.
