The Bybit hacker, suspected to be linked to North Korea, has emerged as the world's 14th-largest holder of ether with 489,000 ETH, valued at about $1.34 billion, representing 0.4% of the total ether supply. Despite the scale of the hack, which cost Bybit roughly $1.5 billion, the hacker's addresses are blacklisted, making it difficult to sell the stolen coins. This situation could lead to a significant supply squeeze in the ether market, as Bybit will need to acquire ETH to compensate for the loss.
