China's electric vehicle leader BYD significantly increased its production by nearly 200,000 units and hired close to 200,000 new employees from August to October. The company experienced an 11.5% rise in net profit for the third quarter, with revenues soaring 24% year-on-year to 201.1 billion yuan, marking its first quarterly revenue victory over Tesla since ceasing gasoline vehicle production in 2022.
