Less than a month into Premier Su Tseng-chang's term, some Cabinet members' statements have drawn criticism from DPP legislators, seen as being out of line with government policy. Transport Minister Li Meng-yen's remarks on Taiwan Railways' ticket prices and Economic Minister Kuo Yen’s comments on issues like nuclear power and subsidizing Taiwan Power Company’s losses were singled out for being too candid, leading to accusations of political interference. KMT legislators viewed this as stifling professional opinions and lack of tolerance for diverse voices within the ruling party.
