As of the end of April, Taiwan's total broadband internet users reached 6.827 million, with 2.3 million using cable broadband, achieving a market share of 33.7%, a new high. Major cable TV providers are pushing for high-speed broadband users, while leading broadband provider Chunghwa Telecom introduced new pricing plans to maintain its dominant position. The market is buzzing about the implementation of traffic control and speed reduction measures for high-speed packages to ensure fair usage. With the upcoming summer gaming season, a new wave of broadband installations is expected.
