In Taiwan, there have been calls from external sources for the establishment of a shared platform similar to Europe to enhance the efficiency of organ donation and transplantation. However, a physician with years of experience in organ transplantation mentioned the challenges in implementing this idea. Due to the complexity of the process from organ retrieval to the final stages, involving stringent monitoring and specialized departments in each hospital, integrating all into a single platform at present would present many difficulties. While the concept is good, the execution faces obstacles due to the various storage and management methods of different hospitals. The physician suggested a semi-official registration center for a more appropriate solution.
