President Lai Ching-te will decide on delivering the State of the Nation Address in Parliament after the constitutional interpretation on parliamentary reform bills is clarified, advising opposition parties against hasty actions. However, the People Party announced plans on the 12th to propose a motion inviting President Lai to address the nation in Parliament, to be handled by the parliament. The People Party also made resolutions regarding parliamentary reform, inviting Lai to assist in fulfilling pre-election promises, and presenting their own version of the recall law amendment, opposing the raising of the recall threshold while emphasizing the importance of rigorous petition procedures.
