Cambodia Busts 145kg Drug Case Involving 3 Taiwanese, Facing Life Imprisonment

Cambodian authorities recently broke a major drug case, arresting 5 suspects including 3 Taiwanese, 1 mainland Chinese, and 1 Japanese individual, seizing a total of 145kg of drugs, mostly methamphetamine. The operation targeted a drug trafficking group led by Taiwanese individuals active in Phnom Penh and several provinces. The suspects, including Taiwanese nationals Ang Cheng Jun (20), Hsu Cheng Hao (32), and Huang Heian (35), along with Japanese national Nomora Sokichi (72), were apprehended and charged with drug trafficking and money laundering crimes on June 24, facing potential life imprisonment if convicted. This incident highlights the serious consequences for Taiwanese individuals involved in transnational drug trafficking activities, with authorities warning against engaging in illegal activities abroad to avoid irreversible consequences.
