Can delivery drivers put up political ads on their delivery boxes? Uber Eats responds

Reported about 1 year ago

Uber Eats responded today that it is up to the delivery drivers to decide and choose whether to add political propaganda on their delivery boxes, and it is not related to the company's or brand's stance. The 'Mountain and Sea Citizen Dismantling Action' group in Keelung is seeking to cooperate with delivery drivers to install recall campaign materials on their delivery boxes in order to boost the second-phase recall petition signatures, sparking a discussion on whether delivery drivers can 'accept advertisements'. Uber Eats clarified that in accordance with Taipei City's regulations, delivery partners must display the brand name on their delivery boxes during deliveries on the Uber Eats platform, while outside Taipei City, partners can choose how to label their thermal bags but must still comply with food safety regulations.
