The Ministry of Health, on June 13, 2024, announced that dairy products with a shelf life exceeding 14 days would be renamed 'Long-Lasting Fresh Milk,' sparking debate. While several legislators questioned that items with a shelf life of over 14 days should not be labeled as fresh milk, the Ministry of Agriculture suggested clear labeling, and the Ministry of Health responded that they had not yet received an official document and would consider all opinions during the 60-day consultation period until August 4. The regulations are expected to take effect on July 1 of the following year.
