Morbay and 8 other foreign students expressed shock over the decision, calling it both rude and rough. The committee decided to stop inviting foreign student players to participate in this year's joint draft, aiming to enhance Taiwan's international basketball competitiveness, though existing foreign student player contracts can continue until the end of the 2026 season.
