Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung, also known as the 'God of Songs', canceled his concert at Taipei Arena due to a Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection, which mainly affects young children and people over 60 years old. High-risk 62-year-old Cheung would need at least a month to recover before considering holding a concert due to the impact of the virus on his respiratory system. Dr. Huang Gao-bin cautioned that RSV infections, more common during colder months, can lead to respiratory failure, especially in older age groups, and highlighted the importance of early detection and preventive measures such as antibodies and supportive therapies.
