As Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. considers raising 3nm production prices and advanced packaging quotes for 2025, many Chinese semiconductor manufacturers are also planning price hikes. Morgan Stanley's report stated that China's leading wafer foundry, SMIC, has a current capacity utilization rate of over 100%, with expectations to increase wafer prices by 10% in the second half of 2024 and end the two-year decline. The industry believes that the increasing wafer foundry operating rates and full production capacity of some foundries will set the stage for future price increases.
