Neil Shearing, chief economist at Capital Economics, predicts that the S&P 500 index will reach 7,000 points next year, driven by the enthusiasm of investors towards AI-related themes. This projection represents nearly a 30% increase from the current level of 5,475 points. Shearing warned that while AI innovations are creating substantial benefits, the market should be cautious of potential bubbles and the possibility of a subsequent market downturn. Despite the positive outlook on AI, there are concerns about overhype and inflated stock prices in this sector.
