In New Taipei City's Sanzhi gas station on June 21, 2024 at 9:18 am, a sedan suddenly crashed into the gas station, nearly endangering employees and customers. The driver was initially trying to inflate the tires but likely was speeding and failed to make a turn, hitting the gas pump machine. The front of the car and the pump machine were severely damaged, but emergency shut-off valves prevented gasoline leakage, averting an explosion. The damaged machine needs at least two weeks to be replaced, and temporary measures have been taken to cover the area to prevent gas leaks.
