A 32-year-old man named Chen caused a self-inflicted car accident in the Nan Tun District of Taichung City around 9 p.m. on July 5th. Chen claimed he was distracted and accidentally crashed into a residence on Nan Tun Road Section 2, shattering the front door glass and injuring himself and a 24-year-old female passenger named Lin. They were taken to the hospital for treatment, fortunately, the residence was recently rented out and unoccupied. The exact cause of the accident is under investigation by the local police station.
