Car dealerships in North America, including major automotive companies like Stellantis, Ford, and BMW, have resorted to using pens and paper for sales operations after cyberattacks targeted CDK Global, a software provider widely used in the auto retail sales sector. The cyberattacks led to disruptions that have impacted dealership operations, with no immediate end in sight as restoration processes are expected to take several days. Group 1 Automotive Inc., a significant automotive retailer, has also been utilizing alternative processes to continue selling cars to customers.
