On June 28, 2024, in New Taipei City, two women questioned a towing company for damaging a car while towing it away for illegal parking. The towing personnel responded aggressively, even physically assaulting the women, claiming familiarity with criminal activities and intimidating them to the point where they had to suspend their fruit stand business. The conflict escalated into physical altercations, with one person being pushed to the ground and another being hit with a wrench. Despite admitting to their violation, the car owner's sister accused the towing company of misconduct during the process. The incident resulted in injuries and fines imposed by the traffic bureau, highlighting the need for proper handling of such situations involving towed vehicles.
