On July 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm, after renting a car from Taipei, a couple was heading to a department store in Hsinchu to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Unexpectedly, while waiting at a red light, a black car in front suddenly reversed and collided with their car, causing damage to the bumper. The other driver, instead of initially addressing the damage, demanded compensation, leading to dissatisfaction and spoiling their celebratory mood. Despite both cars being stationary at the red light, the collision occurred due to the abrupt reversing of the black car. Police arrived at the scene, but no consensus was reached on compensation, resulting in the couple having to seek mediation to resolve the issue.
