In order to improve the perception that being a caregiver is a sacrifice, the fundamental solution proposed by the Secretary-General of the Women's New Knowledge Foundation, Tan Yurong, is the publicization of care responsibilities through policy interventions by the government to lighten the burden on caregivers. This includes providing more resources for long-term care, improving accessibility in residential and transportation facilities for the elderly, and promoting a work environment that allows middle-aged workers to balance work responsibilities with caregiving duties for both children and elderly parents without having to resign from their jobs.
