Taiwanese writer and host Carrie Koo, at the age of 59, successfully completed her history PhD program at the College of Humanities and Arts, Hunan University in China in 2024. After obtaining her PhD candidacy in 2022 and passing her oral defense, she expressed relief at finally graduating. Koo received congratulations on her accomplishment, stating her exhaustion after four years of unique challenges. Despite her aspirations to refrain from further studies, she found the academic thesis process demanding with harsh critiques from editors. Now officially a PhD graduate, Koo celebrated by taking photos at the historical site of the university, having spent 4 years pursuing her degree at the 'Millennial Academy'.
