Cathay Financial Group's general manager Lee Chang-keng participated in the Climate Investment Summit in London as a panelist on 'Energy Transformation: Commercial Cases of Mature Energy Technologies,' marking Cathay Financial as the first Taiwanese financial institution to appear twice on the London Stock Exchange. Lee Chang-keng highlighted the challenges and solutions for promoting renewable energy in Southeast Asia, shared Taiwan's renewable energy development journey, and discussed Cathay's role as a pioneer in renewable energy. He emphasized the importance of continuous leadership in low-carbon transformation and renewable energy innovation, with commitments to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and being a leader in renewable energy financing in Taiwan. Additionally, Lee proposed three main paths for Cathay's advancement in renewable energy development: promoting renewable energy investment and financing, fostering renewable energy innovation partnerships, and enhancing innovative services through core financial functions to tackle climate challenges and turn them into opportunities.
