The Army Officer Academy held a celebration for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Whampoa Military Academy, with 18 student squads from various military academies participating in a parade inspection and marching in unison. Defense Minister Gu Li-xiong announced that military personnel, including cadets, will no longer march in formation in the future. President Lai Ching-te attended the event, where music performances by the military band and the participation of female cadets in the marching routine were highlighted. The celebration marked a significant milestone in the history of the academy.
