This celebratory event came as Taiwan's stock market surged past 20,000 points, reaching over 23,000 points driven by stocks like TSMC. Luo had promised to host the banquet when the stock market hit 20,000 points to encourage new financial officials, and he plans to do it again when the market reaches 30,000 points in the future.
