At the celebration event for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Whampoa Military Academy, held by the Alumni Association at the Military Heroism Museum, Chairman Peng Jinming and various retired generals and military personnel, including former Minister of National Defense Wu Shiweng, Yan Ming, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan'an, and others, gathered to cut a cake to commemorate the centenary. Mayor Chiang expressed gratitude to the military for their sacrifices, pledged to uphold the unity spirit of Whampoa, and emphasized the importance of defending the Republic of China, democracy, and pursuing peace in the coming century. The event also featured a special gift of a bear mascot in camouflage attire presented to Mayor Chiang Wan'an.
